Weldon Koenig
A Fayette County native, Weldon Koenig was born in the O’Quinn community. He attended Lucks School and La Grange High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1958. Koenig served his country as an officer in the United States Navy for 31 years achieving the rank of Rear Admiral prior to his retirement in 1989. Koenig is a leader in the La Grange community, in addition to being involved with the University of Texas activities.
